The Business Advisory Group of KNAV & Co. is led by Vaibhav Manek, based out of our Mumbai office. KNAV & Co. is the India member firm of KNAV International.

In 1999, Vaibhav along with Khozema, Nishta and Atul founded KNAV, an international tax, accounting, assurance and business advisory firm. They all previously had their own professional practices and flourishing careers. In 2001, KNAV partners co-founded Grant Thornton in India along with another firm in Delhi, and Vaibhav was a partner in the Mumbai office for Grant Thornton looking after Transfer Pricing and International Business Advisory Services. 

In 2005, the KNAV partners de-merged from Grant Thornton in India to focus on building a niche international firm. Today, KNAV has independent member firms in USA, India, UK, Canada, France, Switzerland and Netherlands and is steering towards expansion and growth in South Africa and the Far East.

He has authored/co-authored several books published by ICAI/BCAS etc, contributed several articles/papers and has won a prize for “Outstanding Research Paper” at International Conference on Commerce and Management: (a) 2013 for the Paper “FDI: Issues & Problems” (b) 2014 for the Paper “Innovations in Mergers”.

CA Kumar Rajagopalan - Session on 'Opportunities in Multi-channel Retail Business'


Kumar Rajagopalan is currently working as the CEO of Retailers Association of India (RAI). RAI is the unified voice of retailers in India. RAI works with all stakeholders for creating the right environment for the growth of retail industry in India, RAI is the body that encourages, develops, facilitates and supports retailers to become modern and adopt best practices that will delight customers. 

Prior to joining RAI, Kumar was the country head - retail solutions at IBM. Before joining IBM, he was the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of 'Crossword Book Stores'. Kumar was with Shopper's Stop Ltd. for 13 years. 

Kumar is associated with various organizations and industry bodies that help and promote retail. He is also a visiting faculty in various business institutes. He has contributed articles to magazines and News Papers on topics like profitable retail operations, feast to famine theory in buying and merchandising, Strategic resource management in retail etc.

Shital Kakkar Mehra is India’s only globally certified “Corporate Etiquette and International Protocol Consultant", certified by The Protocol School of Washington, USA. She has presented her etiquette seminars to a diverse set of businesses and organizations across Asia.

Shital has personally trained several hundred CXO’s of both Indian and large multinational companies, helping them upgrade their soft skills. Sunil Jhaveri is a Chartered Accountant with 30 years of experience in the finance markets. He together with his wife Monica Jhaveri set up MSJ Capital & Corporate Services Pvt Ltd in the year 1994 – Mutual Fund advisory practice for Institutional clients.

He writes under the pen name of Mr.Bond for Wealthforum E Magazine- platform for Independent Financial Adviosrs (IFAs) across the country. Also he writes on his webiste www.misterbond.in.

He is also a Member of Emerging Issues Task Force on Non Resident Taxation formed By Government and Member of Expert Committee formed by Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) for framing Transfer Pricing Regulation in India.

He is appointed as a member of sub committee on transfer pricing for developing countries by United Nations.

He is a visiting professor at Vienna University Austria for teaching International tax for LLM studies.

He is actively involved in handling international tax issues on cross-border transactions, including corporate structuring /restructuring, joint ventures and collaborations, valuations, accounting and auditing, IFRS ,company law matters and foreign exchange management act related matters for a wide range of clients in India particularly in the field of Real Estate, technology , software and telecommunication ,Entertainment sectors.

Contributed many papers reports on Indian tax position and delivered speech on subjects of International Taxation at various forums in India and abroad regularly.
